Our wine is entirely made with berries coming from our own vineyards. Thus it is that we care about quality from the very begining: the grapes.

The vineyards are located in two villages, Terradillos de Esgueva and Sotillo de la Ribera.

Let us beging with Terradillos de Esgueva’s plots which cover 6 hectares as a whole. It should be mentioned that some of this pieces of ground were already planted from 45 to 80 years ago. However most of them have been lately planted and trained on by the family with modern technology. Despite the small distance between the plots the grapes are picked on different order, depending on their ripeness. From all the evidence it is clear that ripeness depends on exposure, soil quality as well as geographical situation.

Let us now go on to describe Sotillo de la Ribera’s vineyards, most of them in a single nourth-south-facing slope. In fact this is a determining factor for grape’s quality. On the other side a little percentage grow on small sandy plots that some dry years barely produce any crop.

Just as we preventively care for vines’ health so we do with enviroment. It is now time to tolk about vineyard work that includes winter pruning, de-buding after the frost and we green harvest when needed.

Finally the grapes are sorted, picked and collected by hand in small plastic crates. This allows the harvest to arrive in conditions that cannot be betterd.
